Gymnastics Classes


Chicago Southland Gymnastics Classes are 8 week sessions. The next sessions begin the weeks of January 9th, 16th, and 23rd. Keep your children active this winter! Please visit our contact page for pricing information and class availability.



TODDLER GYMNASTICS


Its never to early to begin learning about movement. Tot-Nastics is designed to help the Child, as well as the parents, develop and discover every students' physical capabilities and aptitudes. Tots and parents will be led through beginning gymnastics, tumbling, and fine motor skill development.


Age: 18 – 36 months / Class Duration 50 minutes / Enrollment is for 1 or 2 classes a week


Class Times: Monday 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. / Wednesday 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. & 5:00 to 5:50 p.m. / Saturday 9:00 to 9:50 a.m.

PRESCHOOL GYMNASTICS


Enjoy beginner gymnastics, tumbling, low balance beam, bars, vault skills, and motor development activities while having fun! Balance, coordination, body awareness, and the ability to listen to and follow directions are all developed as part of this class. Instuctors lead small groups of preschoolers through fun movements and physical activities to help foster a love for fitness early in life.


Age: 3 – 4 ½ years old / Class Duration 50 minutes / Enrollment is for 1 or 2 classes a week


Class Times: Monday 11:00 – 11:50 am / Wednesday 11:00 – 11:50 am & 6:00 – 6:50 pm / Saturday 9:00 – 9:50 am

BEGINNERS GIRLS AND BOYS GYMNASTICS


Learn gymnastics sills on the floor, beam, bars, and vault. Try to get to the back-handspring with a professional gymnastics instructor in a small group setting. Improve balance, coordination, and flexibility while learning one of the most popular Olympic sports.


Age: 4 ½ – 7 years / Class Duration 1 or 2 Hours / Enrollment is for 1 or 2 classes a week


Class Times: Monday 4:30pm – 5:30pm / Friday 6:30pm – 7:30pm / Saturday 10am – 11am & 11am – 12pm


Sessions: Mon. 4:30, Fri. 6:30pm, Sat. 10am, Mon. 4:30 & Fri. 6:30, Fri. 6:40 & Sat. 10am


INTERMEDIATE GIRLS AND BOYS GYMNASTICS


To join this program gymnasts should have at least 1 year of experience and be able to perform beginners level skills by themselves with good technique. Gymnasts will work on intermediate skill level, form, and technique on such activities as: back walk-over, round offs, back extension, and front walkovers.


Age: 4 ½ – 7 years / Class Duration 1 ½ or 3 Hours / Enrollment is for 2 classes a week


Class Times: Monday 5:30pm – 7:00pm, Wednesday 6pm – 8pm, Friday 5:00pm – 6:30pm, Saturdy noon – 2pm


Sessions: Any single day or: Mon. 5:30 & Fri. 5pm, Wed. 6mn & Sat. 10am


ADVANCED GIRLS GYMNASTICS


To join this program, gymnasts should be able to perform the intermediate level skills by themselves with good technique. Students will work on high skill level, form and techniques on bars, beam, vault and floor.The Class is divided into small groups based on age.


Age: 8 – 16 years / Class Duration 2 or 4 Hours / Enrollment is for 2 classes a week


Class Times: Monday 5pm – 7pm, Wednesday 6pm – 8pm, Friday 5pm – 7pm, Saturday Noon – 2pm


Sessions: Any single day or: Mon. 5pm & Fri. 5pm, Wed. 6pm & Sat. 10am


TUMBLING AND CHEERLEADING TUMBLING


Enjoy Tumbling! You want to get your back hand-spring, back tuck or your lay out so bad !?! Then join this class. A great opportunity to learn, improve or practice more on your tumbling skills and routines for cheerleading and/or tumbling.

Age: 7 – 10 years / Class Duration 1 ½ or 3 Hours / Enrollment is for 1 or 2 classes a week


Class Times: Monday 6:30pm – 8pm, Saturday 12pm – 1:30pm


Sessions: Any single day or both days


ADVANCED PRESCHOOLERS/JR. PRE COMPETITIVE


For those who are competitive and gymnastics oriented, the program is designed for advanced preschoolers with junior pre-competitive level of training so in the future you can be part of the Chicago Southland Gymnastics “CSG” Competitive Team.


Age: 3 – 4 ½ years / Class Duration 2Hours / Enrollment is for 2 classes a week only.


Class Times: Thursday 5pm – 6:30pm, Saturday 11am – 12:30pm


CHICAGO SOUTHLAND GYMNASTICS “CSG” COMPETITIVE PRE-TEAM


Classes are designed for pre-competitive level of training. There are basic skills requirements.


Age: 4 ½ - 18 years / Class Duration Time: 3 hrs / Enrollment is for 2 classes a week only.


Class Times: Monday 4:00pm – 7:00pm / Friday 4:00pm – 7:00pm


USA GYMNASTICS LEVEL 1 TO ELITE – BOYS & GIRLS – “CSG” TEAMS


Team members will train through USAG Levels.


Level 1 – 5, Ages 4 ½ - 18 yrs / Class Duration 3 hrs / Min. 2 classes per week required


Level 5, Ages 4 ½ - 18 yrs / Class Duration 3 hrs / Min. 3 classes per week required


Level 6, Ages: 7 – 18 yrs / Class Duration 4 hrs / Min. 4 classes per week required


Level 7 to Elite – Ages: 8 – 18 yrs / Class Duration 4 hrs/ Min 5 classes per week required


Class Times: Monday 4:00pm – 7:00pm / Wednesday 4:00pm – 7:00pm / Friday 4:00pm – 7:00pm /Saturday 10:00am – 1:00pm
